Situated at the confluence of McKay and Calamity Creeks adjacent to the main road just before you reach the Martin Cabin. Site is a short 40 yard walk from the road and situated beneath Ponderosa Pines. Campers have views of the surrounding creeks and the ridges on the north side of McKay Creek, where wildlife are often visible. Confluence Camp has sufficient camping space to hold a group of 15 to 25 campers, with tent sites located to the southeast of the cooking ring. It shares a bear cable and sump about 50 yards away on the other side of the main road. Vehicles must be parked in the Corral parking area. Gas and/or propane stoves must be used in the cooking pit; charcoal cooking allowed IN THE COOKING RING if fire danger is low.
